| The cornerstone of all the education, prevention, outreach and treatment programs to which Acadia Family Center provides financial assistance each year, your generous gifts to the Annual Fund pay for operating costs and directly benefits:
Students
We pay for the free substance use and related mental health assessments and counseling that MDIHS students receive.
Schools
We provide grants to schools for a variety of prevention education classes and resiliency-fostering activities.
Acadia Family Center Outpatient Treatment Agency
Your gift will help pay a significant amount of AFC’s operating expenses so MDI residents can have access to compassionate, quality and effective treatment for addiction and related mental health disorders, regardless of their ability to pay.
Businesses
Your gift allows us to help area businesses and agencies develop effective drug and alcohol policies.
Providers
Through the Anne Kinter Lecture Series we bring nationally acclaimed speakers and educators to Mount Desert Island to expose teachers, health care providers, counselors and others to the latest treatment modalities and prevention strategies.
The Community
Through our annual Achieving Recovery Through Community Forums we bring together panels of experts with students, parents and community members to discuss current topics related to our mission. |
