Community Recovery Center Building Fund
In the past three years, treatment services at Acadia Family Center have increased 36 percent each year. This increase mirrors the expanding need on Mount Desert Island for quality, client-centered, strengths-based addiction recovery and mental health counseling. Your lasting gift to the building fund will help build a Community Recovery Center to help meet that need. This space will allow AFC to expand group therapy and alternative and expressive art therapy offerings to the community. In addition to treatment, the new Center will also be offered during off hours as a healing space where individuals, families, teens, educators, self-help groups and other island providers can meet to discuss solutions to the disease of addiction.
